What this page is

These are the screens a respondent sees before the first research question, for each way a study can be taken. They are drawn by the same code as the interview itself, so the words are the ones a respondent reads — nothing on them can be pressed here.

The consent text below is version 2026-09-24.1. Every response records the version its respondent agreed to.

The same on every path

Every consent screen carries the same summary over its consent text — “You're taking part in a research study. You can stop at any time.” — and ends with the same checkbox, which confirms the respondent is 18 or older, and the same Continue button, which stays disabled until the box is ticked.

The large title is the study’s own name, written by the organisation that commissioned it; the screens below show a placeholder in its place. A study with a set length also shows, as its first fact, “Takes about N minutes” with that study’s own number — shown here without one, because there is no single number to show.

Some studies ask a few screening questions, or a short set of form questions, between the two screens.

A written interview is laid out either as a conversation or as one question at a time. Both open on the same two screens; only the answering screen after Continue differs.

Neither screen mentions an incentive. Where a study offers one, how incentives work is in the terms.
