Research interviews

Research interviews, run by an AI interviewer.

If you’ve been invited to an interview here, this page explains who we are and what happens to what you say.

What this is

Organisations commission research to understand what people think — about a product, a category, an experience. The Question Desk runs those interviews. Instead of scheduling a call with a researcher, you have a conversation with an AI interviewer in your browser, whenever suits you. It asks, you answer, and it follows up on what you actually said.

We are never selling you anything

No product is being marketed to you here, and nothing you say will be used to sell to you later. Your answers are analysed alongside everyone else’s to answer a research question. That is the whole purpose, and market research codes of conduct prohibit using research as a cover for selling — we are bound by them and we take it seriously.

Your interviewer is an AI

Not a human, and we will never pretend otherwise. You will be told again before you start, and you will be asked to agree to it.

What we record

It depends on the interview you were invited to, and you’ll be told exactly which before you begin. A spoken interview records your voice, and your webcam if you use one. A written interview records only what you type. All of it is used for research analysis and nothing else.

You can stop at any time

Close the tab, or tell the interviewer you’d like to stop. You can also ask us to delete everything you gave us, during the interview or afterwards.
